Tighten all connections and inspect the panels for any loose,
broken, or defective wire connections. Make sure that loose wires
don't touch other terminals. Check the mounting
to be sure it's secure.
Solar panels that are installed in dusty, windy, or treed environments will need regular cleaning to remove dirt and debris. Dust, leaves, bird droppings, and other debris will lower the efficiency of solar cells.
Clean panels with a water stream from a hose (don't blast them too hard). If you have easy access to your panels, you can use dishwashing soap and soft cloths to wipe them down. Do not walk on the panels as they could be damaged, and don't use any harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or materials.
Monthly cleanings are recommended, although your environment will determine how frequently the panels will need to be cleaned. Clean the solar light panels regularly for best performance.
